My name is Celina Sayuri Widjaja from class 10IG1. This is my first year to receive a scholarship from the school. Here are my stories in this academic year..
This academic year, the school give me a chance to got the scholarship. I was really excited for looking towards the academic year. As I'm taking the IGCSE program, this year is really tough because the IGCSE final exam is coming this May. By having the scholarship, I can motivate myself to work extra miles so I can achieve satisfying marks in the end. I also will be involved in school activities more often. Moreover, I also can ease the economical burden on my parents.
STUDENT COUNCIL 2011-2012
I was given the chance to be the member of student council once more time. Actualy this is my 3rd year in student council. In this academic year, I become the secretary of student council. As usual, the student council always teach me something new and give me new experiences.
In the early academic year, I was the PIC of Junior High School orientation program. Even though the student council need to come to school in our holiday, it was fun because we can see the innocent faces of our juniors. Then sometimes, I also become the flag ceremony officials.

Here is one of the Student Council biggest event which is Chileague. Chileague was done in 1 week but there are lots of preparation that the student council members need to take care. Since 1 month before the Chileague was held, sometimes the student council members go home late due to the unfinished preparation. Then I also once needed to call the contact person of some schools because they hadn't completed their administration documents. The student council members are also busy to find sponsors and do fundraising. We sold Pocari Sweat and fried foods. During the Chileague week, Student Council member also go home late because we are the PIC of the competitions.
On the first day, I was on the administration area. It was fun as I got the see all the participants. After that, I was assigned to be in the Badminton area at first. As the futsal area was lack of people, so I was assigned to be in the futsal area. It was fun to be the PIC in the futsal area. So, throughout the week, I became the PIC in the futsal competition. There are many tasks to be done there. Sometimes, there are teams that are disqualified due to their lateness and sometimes the competition was delayed. Moreover, there are fights among the supporters and sometimes some supporters even smoke in the area. In the last day of Chileague, I was waiting for the closing ceremony. I realized that I've to wait for a long time and I've got nothing to do. So, I helped the ticketing table as they are kind of busy. It was funny because some of the parents does not want their hand to get stamped and we need to convince them that it's easy to be erased.
In Chileague I learned how to remind people especially supporters to respect others too (ex. for not smoking in public places). I also learned to report everything in specific details so that everything is clear. There are lots of unforgettable experience from this Chileague event.

CHIMES
In this academic year, I try to join the Chimes extracurricular. I never try to play this instrument before but I'm in love with the harmony it produces. As I join the Chimes extracurricular, I enjoy to play it. In several events, we also got to do some performances. At first, I was really nervous as it was my first time to play Chimes in front of many people but it was exciting actually.
